A 30+ year member of Fellowship Lutheran Church, he has sung in the choir for the majority of that time, except for a 10 year period (2002-2012) when he previously directed the choir. He strives to bring fun to rehearsals as the choir learns upcoming anthems. George emphasizes the choir’s leadership role throughout the entire service, whether singing hymns and liturgy or the choir’s weekly choral anthem. In addition to his service as the choir director, George also leads the Fellowship band periodically during select services and he coordinates our volunteers when Fellowship provides bimonthly dinners at First English Lutheran Church on Columbus’ near east side. George graduated from The Ohio State University after which he worked as a consulting civil engineer until retirement. He enjoys bicycle riding, downhill snow skiing, and playing trombone in the Worthington Civic Band and the Columbus Community Jazz Band.
